Season’s Greetings Freaky Family,
We’d like to wish everyone a peaceful, joy-filled holiday season, however you all wish to celebrate it. For us it’s a time to spread a little cheer as well as reflect on the year gone by, every moment which we were lucky to be alive, lucky to have a home that’s just far enough away from the sun, lucky to have each other. For this we are grateful. And with each passing year, grateful for having the opportunity to meet more new people with whom we get to make music with. That’s you, our ever growing freaky family. Thanks for being the most important part of our journey.
And quite a journey it’s been… In 2014 we’ve circled the US a few times, saw some warm familiar faces and a few slightly bewildered but very excited ones too. Our first trip to England was a smashing success and we plan to return in 2015… as well as embark on a few more journeys to new and exotic lands. Tally Ho!
In addition to our crazy tour schedule, this past year we found ourselves writing more than ever before and conceptualizing a new album, which we are very excited to share and invite you to be a part of…
Kiss Kiss will be our third studio recording, which we expect will hit the streets later this winter, along with a national and international tour to follow. And as we do with each new album, we give ourselves the opportunity to redefine Caravan of Thieves, experiment with new concepts, new ways of composing and arranging, new song styles, a bigger variety of instruments and hats to wear, and a few more friends to help bring our ideas to life.
Since we’d like to get this album out to you as soon as possible, we’ve turned to PledgeMusic, which allows you to become an even bigger part of this project with us. By pre-ordering Kiss Kiss, you’ll not only be helping us complete it, but you’ll also be the first to have it, hear it, hold it, and cuddle it. And you’ll also be given an all-access pass to some of the behind-the-scenes magic, outtakes, photos, and updates. In addition to the new CD, we’ve come up with a few fun and exciting exclusives, like the masks that we used on the cover of Mischief Night, some of our signature junkyard percussion, house concerts, etc. Your involvement in this project will help us fund things such as recording costs, manufacturing the album, radio, publicity, etc and 5% of proceeds after our goal will go to ChildFund International, which serves to help children in need.
